FightAIDS@Home Crunching Chart

Does not need much fantasy to see what's needed to bring this one on par with the The HCC project. By far the most run on UD agent still I'll nickname this one X-roads. Move over to BOINC and the average can go to 72 points per hour and not the 'measly' 43. Hopefully the full length tasks will start spilling again from the feeders.

enjoy (getting BOINCed)

Re: FightAIDS@Home Crunching Chart

See graph in OP. The validations of the 'normal length' work units are coming through 4.45 hours average yesterday and production up at 48 CPU years. My ISP will be thankful.

Re: FightAIDS@Home Crunching Chart

Update: As longer units are making their way through the grid, the task run time average is returning to a 7 hour target.

Also very well visible is the effect from the UD migration where FAAH was the most popular of the 2 long running projects that remain on the old agent. The points per reported hour is climbing from the low forties now nearing sixties and on its way to 70-72 as standard for BOINC only run WCG projects.

Also, with normality in job run times returning, the project is assuming its former top choice of the members at 75-80 years. Midday data today indicate another top performing day at WCG.

[REMINDER: THE UD Crunching share is now nearing less than 10% of WCG member contributions. June 30, 2008 it's lights out, so please convert now while there is not the avalanche of support questions. Do it ASAP as we still have time the find solutions for any trouble.]

Ask your UD > BOINC migration questions in the BOINC Agent support forum when you have one and visit the Start Here forum for FAQ&A for any burning query you have!

Hi Sekerob,

I certainly appreciate your enthusiasm and support for this project.

Regarding your very nice chart, the dip in the CPU time/task and the increase in the results/hour are directly related (inversely proportional). This time period includes the experiments that docked little bitty fragments (that don't have much flexibility or complexity) to the potential allosteric inhibitor site. The other experiments involve much bigger, much more flexible compounds, which are much, much more difficult/time-consuming to dock.

I'm not sure how the points are awarded, but I thought I'd explain the trends in the blue and cyan lines. ;) Moving over to BOINC is certainly advised, though.

Cheers,
Dr. Alex Perryman

Update: The project after switch from Quorum 2 to Zero Redundancy (ZR) seems to have finally returned to 'Normal', if not 'Above Normal' production, With ZR FightAIDS@Home is now careering along at almost twice the speed from before.... a little extra coming through from the continued throttling of DDDT.

peace
