I don't have a Mac, so I am starting from a position of complete ignorance. Where is the incompatibility that needs updating occurring? Is it BOINC or one or more project applications or everything? Please explain what problem you are having.

FYI, reinstall BOINC after the upgrade and everything should work fine.

That's indeed the PTF [Program Temporary Fix] suggested over at the developers by C. Fenton, who started working on the next next release... Install a second time and things seem to work. Once the solution is put in place it's possibly back-ported to 6.12 [6.14/7.x is long way way] but if 6.10... not heard.

PPC is not supported for HPF2 and HCMD2. Can't say any future research app will.

For those with a Mac, who've got the urge to step up to 6.12, wait for 6.12.34. Mail from developer:

I am working on fixing various problems installing and running under OS 10.7 Lion. I hope to have a Mac 6.12.34 release candidate ready for alpha testing by early next week.

I have a Mac running on 10.7 Lion and needed to reinstall Boinc as well.
With 6.12.33 it's working without any problems.
