GFAM_x1uh5_PfENR_0003678_0024 is now showing an estimated completion time of plus 95 hours with only 12 percent done. Instead of lowering it is constantly increasing every few hours sometimes doubling the time till completion. It started with an estimated time to completion in the eight hour range then just kept going up. All other received GFAM workunits completed in a normal eight hour or less time period.
Also GFAM_x1uh5_PfENR_0003836_0137 is now at plus 29 hours with 38% completion. Should I abort these workunits since they are just wasting time and don't seem to be progressing in a normal fashion? Would hate to send them out to someone else and have them exp the same problem. |

Personally, I'd attempt to shut down and restart your machine (may be just shutting down/restarting BOINC may do the trick - but I'd go for a complete system refresh).

THANK YOU. I am experiencing a similar problem. I am at 36 Hours running on a two-thread 2.8 speed Pent 4. My Hot Quad at about the same CPU with 1000 spd RAM is now up to 12 hours per Result.
I feel for those with slow machines (and ENVY those with Faster!) |

A quick note. My machines are very clean with Zero temps and completely de-fragged. A re-start seems primarily to clean up the graphic memory.

There are at least three threads on the first page directly addressing this concern. Please read them before posting a new one.

Okay system reset and now the workunits are showing runtimes of 7 and 5 hours however the runtime is increasing again.

Looks like I have to abort the two workunits in a day if they do not complete.

Actually, the Shrubbery is right... in the GFAM forum there are 3 threads `at a glanceĀ“ relating to this. The BOINC throttle is the immediate suspect. Set activity menu to 'Run Always', then restart client and see what happens.
