android task - ready to report

If I have a task that is at "ready to report", when will it be sent in and removed from the list? At about 99% a new task started, then it finished and has sat at "ready to report" for a few hours.

Re: android task - ready to report

The current version in BETA returns results immediately so that feature should be included with the next release.

Re: android task - ready to report

Explicitly, *only* Android clients, as this is a serious taxing matter for the server scheduler, would this be across the board at 2 million plus results returned daily. If it does become a taxing matter, WCG techs will take counter-measures I'm sure as they've done in past, not scaff, but longer tasks!

client (Android): put default prefs in code instead of config file; make report_results_immediately the default

- the eliminates the need to include global_prefs_override.xml in the Android distribution

- deferring reporting tasks confuses some Android users; since WiFi connectivity is likely to be sporadic, and jobs tend to be long, it's probably better the report them ASAP
