HCMD2 same? It's updated weekly by the scientists? From life crunch [% updated daily] to what their stats show there's about a week lag [Friday night it's done] Friday afternoon CET, in fact. Nico_B is posting on Facebook Decrypthon's group when it's available. |

[ot]Facebook is not my cup of tea. Their privacy policies are the worst. From alert reports they're going to loosen it up even further. WCG has implemented a disassociation function from their app, but that's rare.[/ot]
----------------------------------------Last 2 posts at 05:37AM and 05:27AM... Nicolas Bard needs assistance ;) Me, just following the official site, link in the performance chart, which is hot for me and opens the page inside the charting model to scrape the latest states on results, positions, percentage... no browser opened in that process.

Last 2 posts at 05:37AM and 05:27AM... Nicolas Bard needs assistance ;) Where? On which day? About what? Sometimes I find you are a little cryptic... [ot]About Facebook (and other "social" networks as well) I am as reluctant as you are. But I pick info where it is. And with the minimum one I provided them with I have no big concern about privacy. )[/ot] |

I don't know what's cryptic... you provide a link to the HCMD2 FB page and I see the timestamps on that page ranging from 05:27 to after 22:00

16 April at 5:37 (Friday) I don't know where the flaw is residing, Facebook or anywhere else, but on the link I have provided (Decrypthon's wall) I see Nicolas Bard's info dated as follows:09 April at 5:27 (Friday) 07 January at 22:48 19.6 % posted on Friday 16/4 at 14:37 18.99 % posted on Friday 9/4 at 14:27 18.6 % posted on Friday 2/4 at 17:01 18.26 % posted on Friday 26/3 at 16:27 17.98 % posted on Friday 19/3 at 16:53 17.53 % posted on Friday 12/3 at 15:26 16.43 % posted on Friday 26/2 at 23:41 15.99 % posted on Friday 19/2 at 17:07 15.48 % posted on Friday 12/2 at 15:45 14.55 % posted on Friday 5/2 at 17:13 etc... And when I look at his own wall where he is publishing graphs, times are all just a few minutes later. I don't mean that you are not seeing what you say (I am trusting you more than Facebook), but at least you can understand why I was puzzled.... |

Guess it's the difference between signed in and signed out, this running off some US time sync... not important.

Ok, still no serious comment whether my theory about the sequence numbers is right or wrong. So I did a bit more math, and came to the conclusion that the project may run out of regular WUs around May 21st. Here is how:
----------------------------------------- I just received WU HFCC_ s2_ 01786405_ s2_ 0000_ 0-- - 3.35 days ago I got WU HFCC_ s2_ 01651338_ s2_ 0000_ 0-- - The difference in sequence numbers is 135067 - This means a bit more than 40,000 per day - Still 1,213,595 to go until the assumed end at 3,000,000 - At 40,000 a day, this takes about 30 days It could even be earlier because I expect HPF2 to temporarily run out of WUs in around 5 days, and there is an interesting initiative by movieman to pump tremendous additional computing power into WCG during the first week of May. No ease to be expected from DDDT2. Uplinger, sure that there is work left for more than 30 days? Regards, Martin |

Have you looked for variations in the ending 0000 ? My logs tell me there is at least 0001 for the s2 in circulation.

Examples: HFCC_ s2_ 01702768_ s2_ 0000_ 0-- received 19.04.10 17:36:33 HFCC_ s2_ 01706254_ s2_ 0001_ 0-- received 19.04.10 20:35:06 Regards, Martin |

I'll toss my own speculation into the thread because I like following this sort of thing too. Somewhere shortly after the project started, I saw a semi-official estimate of about 30 Million results necessary for HFCC. (I wish I could find that now!) Given that, and given that we have over 23.5 Million results completed thus far, a little math gives us a date in August using the Results per Calendar Day. It draws closer if you factor in the higher production we've hit lately.
But, I'm willing to admit that this is all rampant speculation on my part. Keep crunching and we'll get there! |
